This paper considers the scourge of vaccine nationalism as it applies to the geopolitical/geoeconomic context of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. It identifies the frightening challenge that vaccine nationalism poses to global public health outcomes, and particularly so in the developing world. It reviews the literature and the growing call for a rejection of this specific form of zero-sum nationalism that wields consequences for countless lives around the world.
