Felipe Jiménez (USC Gould School of Law) has posted Book Review: Paolo Sandro, The Making of Constitutional Democracy: From Creation to Application of Law (Forthcoming in American Journal of Jurisprudence 68 (1) (2023)) on SSRN. Here is the abstract:
A book review of Paolo Sandro's The Making of Constitutional Democracy.
And from the conclusion:
Sandro engages carefully with multiple views, intellectual traditions, and scholarly perspectives. The breadth of research and the bibliographical apparatus are impressive, and evidence of Sandro’s academic rigor and willingness to build upon other thinkers’ insights instead of starting from scratch—a rare and important intellectual virtue. Yet this sometimes prevents Sandro from fully articulating his view as the distinctive and original position it is. It is my hope, thus, that this book is just the first step in the full development and articulation of Sandro’s distinctive jurisprudential perspective.
