This research paper conducts an analysis of significant texts, including the Manusmriti, to examine their role in shaping societal customs and traditions. Additionally, this study examines significant judicial precedents and legislative initiatives that have aimed to confront and redress instances of caste and gender-based prejudice subsequent to the attainment of independence. The project elucidates the significance of the Indian Constitution in advancing the principles of equality and justice. It centers on the constitutional provisions, amendments, and notable judicial decisions that have contributed to this objective. This project endeavors to illuminate the intricacies and obstacles involved in upholding social justice and equality within the legal system of India through an analysis of the interrelationship among caste, gender, and the development of Indian jurisprudence
