Moritz Hennemann (University of Freiburg - Faculty of Law) has posted IT, Internet and Artificial Intelligence (Forthcoming in Herrmann/Chaisse (eds.), The Law of Economic Integration, OUP 2024) on SSRN. Here is the abstract:
This chapter focuses on sectoral rules regarding information technology (IT), the Internet, and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Focusing on global digital trade, it first points to existing IT, Internet, and AI regulations in multilateral and bilateral free trade agreements. It analyses trends and sheds light on selected supranational legislation with regard to AI. Finally, the chapter turns to data the central production factor of the 21st century and prerequisite for manifold innovation processes. In particular, it highlights the potential for future bilateral or multilateral regulation of non-personal and sectoral data.
