This Article addresses a wide range of basic conceptual and substantive problems associated with the contemporary constitutional separation of powers. Attention is paid in particular to the constitutional analogue of what physicists call the Three Body Problem. The Article discusses as well the potential role of basic, cross-cultural virtues in supplementing the operation of the separation of powers and constitutional rights provisions.
